About PAR

People Against Rape (PAR) is a sexual assault advocacy program offering support and services for survivors of sexual assault in Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley counties since 1974.

PAR'S MISSION STATEMENT

  • To advocate for and provide emotional support to rape victims and their families and friends in the Tri-County area who seek aid from the organization;
  • To provide victims with accurate information on medical, law enforcement, and judicial system procedures as well as psychological responses they may experience after rape;
  • To educate the community about rape prevention, the problems of rape victims, and PAR’s goals and services.
